THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Technopark, India's first technology park long striving to attract transnational companies, has finally roped in Ernst & Young to start its first offshore software development center. Ernst & Young Middle East (EYME), with operations in 11 Middle East countries, plans to develop a new software center at Technopark here to cater to its back office operations. Addressing newsmen here Friday EYME's chief executive officer (CEO) Khosrow Dabir-Alai said the company plans a long-term investment in Kerala's Technopark. "I am here for the first time and I am extremely excited with the facilities at Technopark. We have got all we need." "The physical infrastructure available at Technopark meets global standards and we are really bullish on our operations here. We aim to have software development, application maintenance and multimedia content development for our clients alone," the CEO said. Technopark CEO Rajiv Vasudevan said, "EYME's decision to set up shop is a landmark development for us as this will trigger a lot of developments for other blue chip companies considering options to set up shop at Technopark."
