EXL names Shiv Kumar as global sales and marketing head

NEW YORK: ExlService Holdings Inc., a third party Business Process Outsourcing Company, today announced the appointment of Shiv Kumar as its Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. Kumar will be based at EXL's USA headquarters at New York and will be primarily responsible for driving EXL's global sales and marketing initiatives.
Announcing the appointment of Shiv Kumar, Vikram Talwar, Vice Chairman and CEO, EXL Service, said, "EXL Service has grown rapidly in the last one year based on our world class delivery capabilities. To accelerate this growth further, we are looking at strengthening our sales and marketing capabilities and Kumar's appointment is a significant step forward in this direction."
Till recently, Kumar was Vice President of HCL Technologies Inc, one of India's largest IT companies. His key job responsibilities entailed managing HCLT's U.S business unit and handling the launch and growth of the BPO practice in the U.S. In addition, he has also been instrumental in successfully conceiving, developing and managing two prestigious joint ventures for HCL Technologies.
Kumar began his career with HCL Group in 1987 and has held several senior executive roles handling diverse functional areas ranging from sales, marketing, capital transactions to investor/analyst interactions.
