Ahmadabad: The emerging business hub of India Gujarat is attracting entrepreneurs to invest huge capital to set up businesses. Entreprenuership and Management Processes International (EMPI) is making a fresh offer to establish a novel SEZ worth 11,500 crore in the state. EMPI is chaired by N Vittal, Former Central Vigilance Commissioner and the new SEZ is named as Gujarat Vittal Innovation City (G-VIC). The project will focus on segments such as pharma, chemical, agri business, aquamarine, alternate energy and key sectors like IT/ITeS, industrial design and digital animation, film making and media. Moreover, G-VIC would get support from international universities and technical institutions. N Vittal will be the chairperson of the novel SEZ initiative and Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) would represent the state government. A company official said that the concept evolved at the EMPI-Vittal Center to make domestic companies more innovative as well create world-class manpower. Daedeok Innopolis of South Korea, Heidelberg Technology Park, Germany, Zerinke Group and others have been involved in the project.
