Dinesh is Bessemer's Entrepreneur-In-Residence

NEW YORK: Bessemer Venture Partners, a venture capital firm investing in early-stage technology companies, named Dinesh Vaswani as an entrepreneur-in-residence in its Menlo Park, California office. In his role, Vaswani will work with Bessemer general partner Rob Chandra to evaluate investment opportunities in U.S.-India cross-border firms. Dinesh was most recently at San Francisco-based Walden International, where he served as general partner for software investments in Southeast Asia and as country head for India. Prior to Walden, Dinesh spent four years managing software activities in India for the Chatterjee Group, an investment affiliate of Soros Fund Management LLC. Dinesh was also chief executive of WordWalla Inc., a developer of embedded software for mobile devices and as president of software company Blue Star Infotech America. Bessemer has four entrepeneurs in residence including Vaswani, and six general partners. BVP has more than one billion dollars under management and has served as early-stage venture partner to companies such as Parametric Technology Corp., Ciena Corp., VeriSign Inc. and Staples Inc. In addition to its Menlo Park site, the firm has offices in Larchmont, N.Y., and Wellesley Hills, Mass.
