Digital's Q2 net up 49 percent

BANGALORE: Digital Global Soft has reported a healthy 49% growth in its Q2 (second quarter) FY04 net profit which was Rs 31.9 crore compared to Rs 21.4 crore made during the same period in the previous fiscal. Revenue at Rs 149.9 crore was 53% more than Rs 97.9 crore in Q2 last fiscal. EPS basic was Rs 9.66 (Rs 6.51) and diluted was Rs 9.58 (Rs 6.42) On a sequential basis, net profit and revenues grew marginally. Net profit in Q1 was Rs 30.20 crore (5.6%) for revenues of Rs 140.2 crore (6.9%). Revenues from software services was Rs 128.8 crore, a 38% increase over Rs 93.6 crore in Q2 last year, while the Digital contact centre (DCC) business made revenues of Rs 15.9 crore compared to Rs 30 lakh in Q2 FY03 and Rs 8 crore in Q1 FY04. However, DCC continued to be in the red with a loss of Rs 1.5 crore in Q2 FY04 against Rs 2 crore for Q1 in FY04.
