Desai teaches Mittal English

BRISBANE: Mittal Steel, the largest global steel company is understood to have signed a multiyear contract with GlobalEnglish Corporation, the top online English learning and support service provider, to improve its business communications. Deepak Desai, President and CEO of Global English Corporation said, "With improved English communication skills among its 250,000 employees, Mittal can accelerate global integration, improve efficiencies, and increase employee mobility in order to share best practices around the world." Mittal steel has signed a $1 million contract in order to augment communication across business units and facilitate local talent to chase international careers, particularly among the top three levels of management. A statement addressed to Mittal steel employees said, “We need a common language to help drive the business forward and many things need to be improved in this quest. A priority is the fluent command of English, the official language of our company.” The company’s employees has of late increasingly felt the need to perk up their English skills in order to converse with people around the world, as the company has grown to be the largest, through international acquisitions. The GlobalEnglish Corporate Learning Service is one of the elemental programs offered by the Mittal University. Its directory offers an all-inclusive set of blended learning tools, including classroom-based training, online courses, external events, and technical instruction, all designed to enable employees to acclimatize to changes in the business.
