Delhi based mydala.com gets funding of 9 Crore

Delhi: Kinobeo Software, a Delhi based which runs buying site mydala.com has announced that 9 Crore has been raised from Info edge. Anisha Singh, CEO and founder of mydala.com said funds will be used to grow the base and to increase the focus on customer service. Anisha says,'Innovation has always been the strength of mydala. Our future plan is to innovate and keep providing the best user as well as the best merchant experience.' mydala.com was founded in September 2009. It rose 1.1 crore funding from PE veterans Ajay Relan and Jayanta Basu, both are the founding partners of Delhi-based PE firm CX Partners. Besides them two unnamed U.S. investors invested in mydala 2010. mydala has over 3500 merchants and is adding 800 more per month. It caters to nine cities and is planning to enlarge to 36 more. The company is also offering pan-India deals. mydala has recently invested in online marketing efforts through Search Engine Marketing and continues its viral marketing strategy. Companies like Burrp.com, FoodieBay, IndiaTimes and Brijj are part of its viral marketing. The company has notched up 3.5 crore in savings for its users. mydala claims that it will be reaching a million users this month. Recently mydala launched a travel deals section on its site and offered 350 deals so far. Currently, there are six travel offers available on the site.It is now partnering with a leading travel website besides establishing direct relations with hotel suppliers. 'We just launched this week our new product version which allows users to personalize their deals according to their taste and much much more!! There is a lot more coming this year', says Anisha.
