Defiance Tech partners with Swiss consultancy firm

Chennai: Defiance Tech, part of the Hinduja group, has tied up with Swiss-based consultancy firm Lodestone Management to offer enterprise resource planning (ERP) services at global level. "We had earlier stated that Defiance will go beyond the US and engineering services. As a part of that, the company has tied up with Lodestone Management Consultants to offer enterprise solutions," V. Sumantaran, executive vice-chairman of Hinduja Automotive, told reporters here Tuesday. According to him, the tie-up brings together Lodestone's capability in system applications and products (SAP) consultancy and Defiance's expertise in SAP technology. "The global ERP market is estimated at $40 billion in 2008. While there are couple of players, SAP is the market leader in the ERP space with 27.5 percent share. ERP outsourcing is growing at 11 percent per annum," said Subu D. Subramanian, chief executive of Defiance. "We will first market the services in Europe and later enter Middle East and the US."
