NEW DELHI: IT major Datamatics is planning to recruit additional 300 software professionals in the next two months, mainly for its existing projects. "The recruitment is mainly for our existing projects, including certain telecommunication contracts, while some of them would also put on newer projects," wire services quoted Datamatics chairman L S Kanodia as saying in Mumbai on Wednesday. The new recruits would be stationed at the company's offices in Mumbai and Delhi, while some of them would be posted overseas, Kanodia said. Datamatics at present employs a total of 1,600 people. The new hands would work on EAS platforms, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) and on .Net, Java, J2EE and other embedded technologies, he said. However, he did not disclose the new projects or client acquisitions. Meanwhile, the company received People's Capacity Measurement Model (P-CMM) Level-5 Version 2.0 certification for its software processes and people management. The certification was awarded by global consultancy firm KPMG, which reviewed the human resources practices of the company. Kanodia claimed Datamatics is the third company in the world to be awarded the certification.
