Fremont, California: Dataguise, a security solutions company for protecting sensitive data across the enterprise, today announced it has raised $3.25 million in additional financing in December 2010 led by Silicon Valley investor and technology veteran Herb Madan with participation from existing investors. This brings the total financing for Series A to $7.3 million. Dataguise will use the funds to focus on bringing its enterprise security intelligence management system to market, and expanding its current database security portfolio, which includes the industry's most comprehensive database security software for advanced sensitive data discovery and data masking.

Dataguise's products enable customers to protect sensitive data, comply with regulatory requirements to protect private data and understand where sensitive data resides in structured databases to reduce the risk and costs of exposure. The products are designed to provide proactive risk-based enterprise security intelligence and remedies for securing personally identifiable information (PII) and other sensitive data located in structured database repositories across distributed enterprise environments. Products in production include DgDiscover and DgMasker which quickly determine where sensitive information resides throughout the enterprise and de-identify data targeted for use outside of the production network. Dataguise customers range from mid-tier healthcare providers up to large banking and financial services organizations, federal agencies and institutions of higher education.

"Dataguise provides exceptional value in its ability to preserve brand integrity by protecting all instances of sensitive data in strict compliance with regulations," said Madan. "The company is well positioned to take a leadership role in enterprise database security for proactive risk-based intelligence management."

"Our goal is to ensure that the sensitive data located in enterprise environments does not fall into the wrong hands using advanced technologies that find, search and mask this information from exposure," said Manmeet Singh, President and CEO of Dataguise. "Our continued growth will serve the market's demand for comprehensive security solutions that are proven to stop threats before they impact business."
