Datacard's Tyabji to retire

MINNETONKA: Hatim A. Tyabji is set to retire from Datacard board effective from December 31, 2006.Tyabji had served as the chairman of the Minnetonka based company, which sells secure ID and card personalization products, for almost seven years. In 2003, he also acted as CEO for Data Group, initiating numerous moves in the short span of three years that include switching the company to an Oracle enterprise resource planning environment, expanding its global manufacturing presence and refreshing the majority of the company's product and service offerings. Lars Nyberg will succeed Tyabji. Announcing the development, Jeff Hattara, president and CEO of Datacard Group added "While Datacard loses a statesman and tireless advocate in Hatim, the Board has ensured a seamless transition as he passes the role of Chairman to board member Lars Nyberg.” Lars Nyberg, Datacard Group Board Member since 2004 has previous exposure with Phillips Electronics and also served as CEO and chairman of the board for NCR Corporation.Datacard Group serves customers in more than 120 countries.
