Mumbai: The French based, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions software provider Dassault Systèmes has announced that the company has set up its fully owned subsidiary in India. "Dassault Systèmes India will enable the company to consolidate all its service offerings under a single umbrella," said Bernard Charles, President and CEO, Dassault Systèmes, at the PLM Executive Summit held here on Friday. The subsidiary firm will be based out of Delhi. With domestic IT Company Geometric Software, Dassault has formed a joint venture firm called 3D PLM. The move follows a growing wave of Indian businesses, such as Apollo Tyres, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Infosys, and Satyam, which have begun adapting Dassault Systèmes’ solutions to produce more innovative products and construct 'Future India', said an official. Dassault Systèmes develops and markets PLM application software and services, which support industrial processes and provide a 3D vision of the complete lifecycle of products from conception to maintenance and to recycling.
