Bangalore: Dassault Systemes, a global provider of 3D and product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, has launched its seventh software brand, Exalead in India. Exalead is a search engine that collects unstructured and structured data from any source, in any format and in any volume, claims the company. Exalead, a France-based provider of search-based application platforms, was acquired by Dassault Systemes way back in June this year for 135 million euros. More than 250 companies worldwide a month rely on Exalead's information access platform to search and manage their information faster, said the company. "Exalead lets the user instantly locate files no matter where they are stored - on their desktops, on network servers or even on the internet. It can collect data in any format from any source and automatically transform it into a cohesive and meaningful information resource", said Andy Kalambi, President - Asia Pac South, Dassault Systemes. Exalead, which is adept at deep text processing of unstructured data, is being used in various industries like logistics, banking, manufacturing telecom, financial services and the likes, said Kalambi. Apart from Exalead, other PLM solutions from Dassault Systemes include CATIA for virtual design, DELMIA for digital production and manufacturing, ENOVIA for collaborative innovation, SIMULIA for realistic simulation, SolidWorks for 3D mechanical design and 3DVIA for lifelike experience.
