Dassault, IBM, Tata Tech ink deal

PARIS: Dassault Systems and IBM signed an agreement with Tata Technologies to boost sales of a key software product in India , the three companies said on Tuesday. Tata Technologies will create a training and technical support centre for product life-cycle management software developed by Dassault and IBM, and sell it to manufacturers in India, including sister company Tata Motors and its suppliers. The software aims to cover the entire lifespan of a product from its conception and design to its manufacturing and maintenance. Unlisted Tata Technologies, based in Pune, provides engineering and design services to global automotive and aerospace companies taking advantage of India 's large pool of low-cost engineering professionals. The Tata group, comprising 91 companies, is India 's second-biggest business conglomerate.
