Convergys launches contact center in Bangalore

BANGALORE: Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), the world's largest outsourced contact center services provider announced Wednesday the launch of its second Indian contact center in Bangalore. The facility will have a capacity of 1500 seats and full employment will exceed 3000 service agents, the company announced. The center will provide both general support and advanced technical help desk services to a variety of Convergys clients via traditional voice calling, e-mail services as well as "back office" applications and document processing. The facility will be located in proximity to several other multi-nationals such as IBM and Oracle. Convergys Corporation is a member of the Standard & Poor 500 and the Forbes Platinum 400. "The 3000 employess in our first Indian contact center at New Delhi have validated our strong belief that India offers a motivated workforce of dedicated , well-educated english speaking professionals and the infrastructure needed to deliver world class customer care," said Jack freker, president of the Convergys Customer Care Management Group. the Bangalore facility will encompass four contact center floors covering 170,000 square feet, testing areas, 13 training rooms, a mordern language laboratory, conference and meeting rooms etc.
