Congruent to increase staff by 900

CHENNAI:Chennai based IT products and services company Congruent Solutions, will increase its staff count by 900 in the next few years. The company will also deploy its flagship product in the US markets shortly. Started early this year, the company has an overall strength of about 80 employees for software development and business support staff. "The whole of the retirement plans market alone in the US stood at $2.6 trillion by 2004 and is slated to be around $2.9 trillion in 2005. In this, nearly $6 billion, the overall internal cost of services, could be the potential area that could be outsourced. And surprisingly, the proposed 10 percent of this outsourcing work would translate into a job creation for nearly 15,000 personnel in India," company officials said. "We intend to add nearly 200 to 300 in Chennai and to maintain business continuity later we might look out for satellite towns surrounding Tamil Nadu, like Hyderabad and others to make the headcount reach 500, over the next three years."
