CompTIA starts Indian operations

NEW DELHI: U.S. based Computing Technology Association (CompTIA); provider of vendor neutral certification for IT professionals, on Wednesday announced the launch of their Indian operations. CompTIA along with Thomson Prometric, provider of testing and assessment services, would provide 11 globally recognized IT certification programs in India. "We aim to share our global experience of over 10 years with key stake holders of Indian IT industry," CompTIA President and Chief Executive Officer John Venator said here. Elaborating on the association's India operations Venator said, they are in talks with major Indian BPO companies and educational institutions to show how CompTIA's global IT certification programmes can benefit the growing technology industry. CompTIA would for the first time conduct the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) certification examination all over the world including India, slated for this month end. The company claims to provide a consistent level of quality, a common standard in all countries and better productivity. CompTIA provides global certificates in 11 areas such as PC hardware, networking, servers, security, E-business and Linux.
