Cloud computing sees huge demand amongst SMEs

Bangalore: Mckinsey & Company, on its report on cloud computing found that external cloud computing is more suited for the needs of small and medium enterprises than large organizations. The report says that one should beware of the hype generated for cloud computing and cost savings might not be as big as it seems.
The observations are right on track but they fail to mention many other important things. There are many other components involved in cloud computing other than cost. Report has not given any example that would help organizations to understand the report better. Big companies like Google, Salesforce, and Microsoft have been at pinnacle of cloud computing.
Cloud computing offers many solutions that were not available before. Due to increase of internet usage throughout the world and broadband access in all remote corners, cloud computing can help bring simplicity in corporate world. Even though broadband can be said as boon for cloud computing but in the same way cloud computing will not work without broadband.

successful in India, the owner of the
application should feel that their data will
be secure. Once they get the feeling it is
really a boon for SMEs as they neither have
to invest in hardware nor have to worry about
scalability.
