Clifford P. Wagner named president of Adea Solutions

DALLAS:Adea Solutions Inc., a provider of business process and technology consulting services, today announced the appointment of Clifford (Cip) as president. He is responsible for global sales and delivery of Adea's suite of services. Wagner reports to Chairman and CEO Abid H. Abedi. Chip was formerly CEO of Marconi Wireless, responsible for this global software and services business and all of its functions. This business served wireless operators and infrastructure vendors with software, services and integrated solutions. He assumed this position in August 2002. His prior assignment in Marconi was as President of Marconi North America, responsible for all sales, delivery/service, marketing and all staff functions. He led a team of over 2,000 in support of telecommunications service provider, infrastructure, cable company, government, and wireless operator customers. Chip began his career in 1982 with General Electric's (GE) lighting business group in Cleveland in the financial management program with a number of subsequent financial roles. In 1986, Chip joined EDS in the marketing development program. He then served in a variety of sales, sales management, and general management roles, domestically and internationally, over nearly 10 years. "We've entered a new phase in our growth that includes revenue targets of $500 million over the next three years as well as aggressive expansion in North America, Europe and Asia. Chip has the leadership experience, global contacts and proven track record to successfully achieve our goals," Abedi said. "He also has extensive experience with developing products and solutions in the vertical industries we serve, closing multimillion dollar engagements and he has existing relationships with industry and financial analysts.
