Bangalore: Along with search, Google has made contacting advertisers easier with its latest `Click-to-call'. This is an online advertising product in India, which allows users to directly call an advertiser on Google’s search pages. This comes as a great opportunity for advertisers who look to attend to the customers then and there. When user’s type in their query, the keywords are matched to the advertisements appearing next to Google's objective search results. The ads thus connect advertisers to potential customers at the very exact moment they are looking for information related to the products and services the advertiser offers. 'Click-to-call' ads will facilitate users to speak directly to an advertiser they find on a Google search results page over the phone. The main advantage is that the call is free. "Click-to-call is in line with our mission of looking for new ways to help our advertisers reach their customers and will increase the usefulness of the Internet for shoppers, merchants and advertisers in India," said Sundararaman K, Head of Sales, Google India. "It will be particularly valuable for merchants or advertisers who may not have a Web site, or as a supplementary channel for those who currently use local directories to reach potential customers. Click-to-call can also be used to generate added leads for clients that offer services via phone or call center to their clients," he added.
