Chrome Surpasses IE8

Bangalore: Google’s web browser, Chrome surpasses Microsoft’s IE8 and has become the most popular web browser worldwide.

Reports says that Microsoft’s IE8’s share of the browser market fell nearly 23 percent in the last week of November comparing to Chrome 23.6 percent. But IE8 is just one version of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. While many internet users are using the new version IE9 and some use the older version of IE. Considering this IE will be the biggest share holder of global market and Chrome second followed by Mozilla Firefox

“Chrome had been outpacing Internet Explorer 8 on weekends since the beginning of October, but finally edged past during the working week starting December 5,” said Aodhan Cullen StatCounter Chief Executive. Industry experts say, surpassing the IE 8 counts a remarkable achievement for Google. It has happened for the first time since 2010.
