New Delhi: Indian music company T-Series is striving hard to secure its reputation and goodwill as two Chinese cyber pirates have launched a pornographic website identical to its company name. Super Cassettes Industries of T-Series had filed a complaint in Delhi High Court against Wang Zhi Zhu Ce Yong Hu and Ying ter Wang Ju Le Bu, under whose name the porn site Supercassetts.com is registered, seeking compensation from them. A U.S. company named ICL, which is believed to be the promoter of the site was also made a party. In response, the Delhi High Court has asked two defendants to give Rs 5 lakh damages to T-Series music company as compensation. Moreover, the Court has also restricted them from using the name for their pornographic website. T-series argued that the website, dealing in adult and pornographic images, was inimical to its corporate image, goodwill and reputation and sought damages of 25 lakh from them. The domain name Supercassettes.com was created on September 27, 2003. Later, the Court passed an interim order on July 23, 2004, under which the website was restricted from using the domain name.
