3. Kamal Hassan:

Kamal Hassan started his acting career when he was six years old, in the movie, ‘Kalathur Kannamma’ directed by A. Bhimsingh. Later, after his successful debut, through that movie, he stared in another five movies as a child actor, sharing the screen space with top actors, M.G. Ramachandran, ‘Sivaji Ganesan’, ‘Gemini Ganeshan’ etc. At present, he is considered to be one among the leading method actors of the Indian film industry and is widely appreciated for his versatile acting. He is also one among very few actors who have completed fifty years in the Indian film industry. For his contribution to the Indian film industry, Satyabama University has given him an Honorary Doctorate. He has also been awarded by Padma Shri in the year 1990 for his contributions. Some of his famous movies include, ‘Apoorva Raagangal’, ‘Pushpaka Vimana’ [Silent movie], ‘Sagara Sangamam’, ‘Indian’, ‘Hey Ram’, ‘Dasavathaaram’. Etc. He has not only acted in Tamil movies, but he has showed his talent in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam movies as well.
