Canara Bank net up 26 percent in Q3

Bangalore: State-owned Canara Bank posted a net profit of 
4.59 billion ($116 million) for the Oct-Dec quarter of fiscal 2007-08, registering 26 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth over the same period of last fiscal at 3.63 billion ($92 million).
In a notification to the stock exchanges here Wednesday, the bank said its total income for the quarter under review increased to 410 billion from 325 billion in the same quarter a year ago, posting a YoY growth of 26 percent.
