Cambridge BPO to increase its headcount

BANGALORE: Cambridge Integrated Services, a global outsourcing provider and second largest player in IndiaÂ’s BPO industry, is looking at increasing its headcount here to 3,500 by 2006 with the launching of its new development center.
The 200,000 sq ft facility with an investment of 
20 crore will augment Cambridges existing capacity in the city and complement the work being done for the companyÂ’s development centers in the U.S., UK and Australia, Nimish Soni, Managing Director, Cambridge India, said.
The facility will focus on process consulting and transaction processing for insurance companies, healthcare organizations and financial institutions, Chris Sinclair, Executive Chairman Cambridge said, announcing the launch of its new facility here.
"The center will be a 3,000 seat facility to start with and will be fully operational by May 2006," Satyen Patel, Executive Vice-Chairman Cambridge said.
"With development centers on four continents, Cambridges current employee strength of 2,300 is expected to nearly double by the year end and the revenue is targeted to grow to $300 million in the next 12 months," Sinclair said.
The single largest focus of the company is going to be insurance, Patel said.
