Calsoft plans Rs 1 B investment

PUNE: Calsoft Pvt Ltd is planning to invest Rs 1 billion in intellectual property and infrastructure over the next five years.
The funds would come from internal accruals, Anupam Bhide, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Calsoft, said. Calsoft would be following the model adopted by the Taiwanese company, Quanta that manufactures laptops for companies such as Dell and Toshiba.
Bhide said the company reported a turnover of Rs 150 million for the year ended March 2005 and hoped to double the turnover this year.
