CSC to invest $12 mn in Hyderabad facility

NEW DELHI: Close on the heels of opening its fourth centre in India, NYSE-listed Computer Sciences Corporation on Friday said it plans to set up a new facility in Hyderabad in one year, entailing an investment of about $12 million. "We plan to open a new 150,000 square feet facility in Hyderabad in 12 months and it will have 1000 people. Initially, it would house 100 people but will be ramped up quickly," said president and managing director and CEO, CSC India Arun K Maheshwari. He said the Hyderabad facility would be operational by mid of this year. The company has also announced opening of its third centre in Noida, following which CSC would have four operational centres in India - one in Indore and three in Noida. In Indore, the company has 400 professionals while all the Noida facilities combined have 1100 professionals. CSC said it plans to ramp up its strength to 4000-5000 professionals in the next two to three years.
