CSC to expand India operations

NEW DELHI: El Segundo, CA-based $11.3 billion IT services major, Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC), has announced the expansion of its India operations. The company will be setting up two more facilities and adding workforce by the end of the current fiscal year.
CSCs India operation currently has 1,000 professionals working out of its development centers in Noida and Indore. The company will be adding 600 more people by this fiscal-end. The company has also set up a new facility at Noida and will be opening one more in the same place. The proposed second facility would be established in South India.
"CSC in India has grown at a rate of over 70 per cent in each of the last two years and are delighted to reach the 1,000 employee milestone. This hyper-growth will continue for the next two years as we are targeting a 100 per cent growth this year and hope to maintain the momentum in the next year also," said Dr Arun Maheshwari, President, MD and CEO of CSC India.
