CBI Registers Cases for Lapses in UP Health Scheme

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Thursday registered three more cases relating to alleged irregularities in the implementation of the National Rural Health Mission in Uttar Pradesh (UP).
The investigative agency also conducted searches at 44 places in UP and Delhi. The CBI earlier registered five cases in the matter.
"The cases involve awarding of contract for upgradation of several district level hospitals in the state at an exorbitant price besides using forged documents," said a statement issued by the CBI.
"Another case relates to alleged irregularities in the work related to installation and renovation of toilets in various hospitals of Uttar Pradesh," it added.
