CA plans to launch new storage solution

MUMBAI: US-based storage software major Computer Associates (CA) will launch a new solution by the end of 2003, which would work across all platforms. "The new solution would seamlessly integrate with other software and can be termed as 'storage without boundary'," Computer Associates consulting director, Reland Villacastin told reporters on the sidelines of NASSCOM 2003 here today. The company had earlier acquired US-based Neutron, a software developer, as part of this venture. CA expects the new solution to enable the company capture 20 per cent of the total marketshare in India. Villacastin said, 20 to 30 per cent of its existing customers would migrate to the new solution, which would constitute to over 20 per cent of its revenue. CA is also planning to integrate its management, networking, storage and database services under its infrastructure management services wing.
