Brocade names Nicholas Moore to board

SAN JOSE: Brocade Communications Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:BRCD), a provider of infrastructure solutions for Storage Area Networks (SANs), announced Wednesday that Nicholas G. Moore has joined its board of directors and will be a member of Brocade's Audit Committee. Moore joins current Brocade board members Gregory L. Reyes, Brocade Chairman and CEO; Neal Dempsey, Partner, Bay Partners; Seth D. Neiman, Managing Partner, Crosspoint Venture Partners; Larry W. Sonsini, Chairman and CEO, Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich, & Rosati; and Christopher B. Paisley, Dean's Executive Professor of Accounting and Finance at the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University. Moore recently retired from his position as Global Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the professional services firm formed in July 1998 from the merger of Coopers & Lybrand International and Price Waterhouse. Moore's extensive business background spans more than 35 years in financial and tax accounting services at Coopers & Lybrand and associated firms. He has also served as Chairman of Coopers & Lybrand International and Chairman and CEO of Coopers & Lybrand LLP. Moore joined Coopers & Lybrand in 1968 and became a partner in 1974. He led the firm's tax practice in the San Jose, California office from 1974 until 1981, when he was named Managing Partner. Moore received a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law and a B.S. in accounting from St. Mary's College.
