British delegation in Mumbai to explore trade

MUMBAI: A high-level business team from London is in Mumbai to explore trade opportunities in IT, finance and education. Most members of the delegation are first time visitors to India. Over 15 companies are participating. The delegation, organized by the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) are backed by the British Trade and Investment The British business delegation will meet the city's top industry lobby groups and corporate houses to discuss ways for enhancing bilateral trade ties between Indian and Britain. "There are many potential synergies between the Indian buyers and British suppliers," said Claire Paye, head of the delegation and head (world trade) for LCCI. "The British are at the forefront of technological developments, particularly in the IT sector. India is recognized as a world leader in off-shored industries, which require strong IT skills and good connectivity," she added.
