Boston University to offer management training in India

NEW YORK: Boston University Tuesday said it had entered into an agreement with a Singapore-based education firm to offer management training in India and countries in the Asia Pacific region. As part of the agreement, Aldion Consulting, Boston University's affiliate in Asia, will work with the Asian Educational Consortium (AEC) to deliver project management training in Malaysia, India, Cambodia, Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. "The opportunity to extend the benefits of project management services to the entire business community in Asia Pacific is extremely exciting for all of us," said Andy Kelley, CEO of Boston University's educational affiliate network. "The combination of Boston University's education affiliate network, AEC, and Aldion Consulting brings together world-class programmes, broad educational expertise and in-depth regional knowledge," he said in a statement issued here. Boston University education affiliate network provides IT and management development training products and services internationally. It has developed a channel of regional training organisations and academic institutions that offer the IT and project management curricula from Boston University. These programmes are offered with flexible timing formats, including the "certificate" and "master certificate" day programmes, as well as evening programmes. "In today's Asia Pacific business world, project management skills can make the difference between the success and failure of a business," said R. Jayapal, group executive deputy chairman of AEC. "We are definitely convinced that Boston University's official project management curriculum will help Asia Pacific companies to succeed in this competitive and ever-changing landscape." The AEC Group offers distance learning and online learning programmes and has partnerships with reputed universities and institutions. Its programmes range from 'O' levels to doctorate levels, and are mostly conducted in arrangements with institutions from the U.S., Canada, Britain and Australia. Currently, AEC's network consists of schools and centres in Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Britain.
