Boeing in tech pact with WebEx

SAN JOSE: WebEx Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: WEBX) announced Tuesday that The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA), the world's leading aerospace company, has selected WebEx as its Web meetings provider. Under the two-year agreement Boeing will use WebEx's Web communications services for Web meetings among employees and partners worldwide. WebEx will enable Boeing to consolidate all desktop conferencing onto a single platform, simplifying the user's experience and helping the company save money. This consolidation was possible because WebEx provided a secure conferencing solution that could be quickly deployed across the Boeing enterprise. The WebEx switch-based network supports interactive data, voice and video communications, and WebEx has developed a global network designed specifically for real-time Web communications. WebEx has more than 6,800 enterprise customers and partnerships with the world's leading teleconferencing and technology companies.
