Bluespec expands presence in India through alliance with Satyam

WALTHAM, MA: Bluespec Inc., developer of the only ESL synthesis toolset for control logic and complex datapaths in chip design, today said that it has signed a services agreement with Satyam Computer Services Ltd. (NYSE: SAY), a leading global consulting and information technology (IT) services company. Under terms of the long-term strategic alliance, Satyam’s facility in Bangalore, India, will provide Bluespec with intellectual property (IP) development and services, customer product support and product quality assurance (QA) capabilities. “Satyam has a long track record of success and an impressive roster of satisfied partners,” says Shiv Tasker, chief executive officer (CEO) at Bluespec. “Once we identified the scope of our needs, Satyam was the clear choice to help us expand our presence and support our growing momentum in India.” Adds Dr T.S.K Murthy, Sr Vice President, Integrated Engineering Services Group at Satyam: “Bluespec’s ESL tools help customers by significantly reducing design and verification cycle times for their complex ASICs and FPGAs. Satyam as a part of this relationship will work with Bluespec to develop IP targeted at Bluespec’s customers’ requirements as well as support Bluespec’s India-based customers deploy Bluespec tools. We pride ourselves on helping businesses such as Bluespec push the limits of excellence, while helping optimize their strengths.” Bluespec recently announced that its ESL Synthesis tool now supports SystemC, the language that provides hardware-oriented constructs for C++ as a class library.
