HYDERABAD: Having built expertise in the embedded technologies, Blue Star Infotech (BSI), is foraying into Japan market to offer embedded software development and engineering services for Japanese companies, reports an Indian daily. The company's thrust on the Japanese market is backed by the specific requirements from Japanese organisations and opportunities for Indian software services providers in specific domains. Sudhir Gera, Blue Star Infotech's vice president-marketing, said the company is addressing a market which includes focus areas of consumer electronics, telecom and wireless, medical electronics and industrial automation. The software service provider is a part of the Blue Star group. “It is a well planned move to foray into the Japanese market. We have taken the step after evaluating the market for more than a year. We have specific products which the Japanese companies are looking for,” Mr Gera said. The company has acquired expertise in technologies that include embedded technology (development and processor architectures) and integrated systems development such as development, modelling and design techniques, OS internals and distributed computing. BSI is participating in Asia's largest trade show for embedded designers, Embedded Technology 2003 in Japan this month, to showcase its expertise in embedded system development and engineering services.
