Bangalore: Eight year old Jay Williams is proving to be a child prodigy, having created his own website when he was just five. At age six, he was the youngest ever to participate in the European Computer Driving Licence tests which comprised of seven exams on word processing, spreadsheets and presentations.

His mother, Sarah Williams said that when he was 2 years old, "He started off playing games on the CBeebies website, but that soon wasn't enough and he wanted to figure out how to turn the computer on, shut it down and do things for himself."

Jay, a student at New Oscott School in Sutton Coldfield, now answers neighbors’ queries related to the internet and helps solve their computer troubles. He even helped resolve a problem with computers at school which went down during the course of a lesson. As a result, he has been awarded the highly commendable BT Internet Rangers of the Year award. The award rewards youngsters who help bridge the digital generation gap in their local communities.

Age is just another number to this whiz-kid from Birmingham, who is giving Bill Gates a run for his money, reported the Daily Mail Reporter.
