Bharti to merge into Bharti Infotel

Bharti Tele-ventures Ltd has decided to merge its fixed line, long distance, broadband and VSAT businesses into a single entity to be rechristened as Bharti Infotel Ltd.

MUMBAI: The exercise is a part of the company's move to attain business synergies among its three subsidiaries, Bharti told the Bombay Stock Exchange here Monday. Bharti Telenet Ltd (fixed line operations), Bharti Telesonic Ltd (international and national long distance) and Bharti Broadband Networks Ltd (broadband and VSAT operations) would be merged into Bharti Infotel Ltd, the company said.
