NEW DELHI: IndiaÂ’s largest private cellular provider, Bharti Airtel has entered into a deal of over $100 million with IT giant IBM for managing its IT and network related services, sources in the know have reported. This is the second deal that Bharti is outsourcing to IBM. Apparently, Bharti has adopted a gambit of outsourcing operations, as it had earlier signed a deal for about $750 million for a period of 10 years in 2004. It may be noted that in the network management sector, Ericcson and Nokia have been partners of Bharti for various circles. The current agreement is believed to include managed-hosting services for clients in India, sources said.
