Bangalore: Allowing users to listen to live prayers from revered shrines on their mobile phones, Telecom major Bharti Airtel has launched its 'Live Aarti' service. According to the company, the cell phone users can hear the live pujas and aartis from the Tirupati Balaji, Sidhi Vinayak, Shirdi Sai Baba and Bangla Sahib shrines through the Live Aarti service. Airtel subscribers would have to pay a one-time membership fee of 5 and a daily subscription fee of 2 per shrine to avail the service, it added. "Devotees across India can now listen to live Aartis from some of the holiest places of worship in India. This is a great demonstration of how technology can bridge physical distances and bring experiences - emotional and spiritual - on the mobile at the click of a button," Bharti Airtel Director (Marketing-Mobile Services) Shireesh Joshi said. The service will soon include shrines like the Golden Temple, Vaishno Devi, Kashi Vishawanath, Har Ki Podi, Nathdwara, Patna Sahib Gurudwara and Puri Jagannath, it said.
