Bharat Petroleum in talks for Reliance gas

New Delhi: State-run Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) Tuesday said it was negotiating with Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries for allocation of gas from the Krishna-Godavari basin, off the Andhra Pradesh coast.
"The government has already given out who will be given priority in the sector," Ashok Sinha, the chairman of BPCL said on the sidelines of the 8th International Oil and Gas Conference here Tuesday.
He said the BPCL would sell one million tonnes of crude oil.
"We will get over a quarter of a million tonnes gas from Qatar by September. The crude linkages for our refineries are under finalisation. We will import 13 million tonnes which is the same level as last year," Sinha said.
He said the capital expenditure of the company was set at 
25 billion (2,500 crore) per year for next two years, adding that both its refinery projects at Bina in Madhya Pradesh and Kochi in Kerala were on track.
"The Bina refinery will be completed in December 2009. After the expansion of Kochi unit and completion of Bina refinery, we should have an output of about 30 million tonnes of oil by December 2009," said Sinha.
