Bharat Bhaskar awarded the best professor in IT Management

Bangalore: Dr. Bharat Bhasker, Professor of Information Technology and Systems at IIM Lucknow, has been awarded the "Best Professor of Information Technology Management" at the recently concluded Asia's Best B-School Awards in Singapore. The Asia's Best B-School Awards are presented by CMO Asia with CMO Council as its Strategic Partner and Stars of the Industry Group as a research partner. The Awards of the highest stature are presented to Individuals and Institutions who have surpassed several levels of excellence and set an example of being a role model and exemplary leadership. Individuals behind the institution who are building their institutions through leadership, innovation, academic and industry interface and a supreme objective of building future leaders. Bhasker was earlier conferred the "Best Professor of Information Technology" at Dewang Mehta Business School Awards at Mumbai in September 2008. In Jan 2004, he was honoured as the Best Researcher in the field of Electronic Commerce by the McMaster World Congress, Hamilton, Canada. In 2001 Rotary Club awarded him Scroll of Honor for his work and public service in the field of Information Technology and Management. He has bagged NASA's Best Research Productivity Award in 1992 in recognition of the research contributions Bhasker serves as professor of Information Technology & Systems and head of Internet Commerce Research Center and is the former dean of Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering from IIT Roorkee, Master's and doctorate in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, U.S.
