Bangalore: Road Trip! The word itself brings excitement, beguiling and adventure that puts travelers on buoyant mood. Road trip is the most thrilling way to travel where you feel the breeze, enjoy the scenic beauty, local foods and get along with people and to summon in one short, road trip is where you can express yourself more freely than to chain oneself while travelling on packages. Below are some of the most exciting routes that you can chose while deciding for a road trip.



Delhi -Manali- Leh



Delhi to Manali then Leh is one of the most incredible road trips that covers the Himalayas in India, the total distance is around 990km. Starting from Delhi to Manali, the road is quite good but from Manali to Leh is one of the highest and toughest roads to travel. Ensure to enquire about the roads from Manali to Leh as the road opens only in the month of June when the Border Road Organisation (BRO) starts to clear snow. So, the best time to cover this road is from August through September. In spite of rough road, the route has got enthralling and spectacular scenic beauty. While passing these roads, you can see beautiful villages, narrow passages through the mountains and Buddhist monasteries. The other striking places are Rohtang Pass, Taglang La, which is one of the highest pass at 5359m and then comes the destination Leh. Royal Enfield is the most preferred ride to cover this road.

I now doubt all the Road Trips mentioned in this Article..

Maybe you last went sometime in 90s.......that road is a gem now.........its almost comaparable to Delhi-Jaipur highway. But yes, the distance from Delhi to Leh is more than quoted here. Its almost 1200 kms one way.

Yes Saurav...there are quite good road in southern part but probably writer not traveled..The 130 km long Chennai-Pondicherry road (ECR)is one of the finest road in India.
