Bank of Baroda appoints HP as tech partner

NEW DELHI:Bank of Baroda has appointed HP (India) as its strategic IT partner for the bank's Technology Enabled Business Transformation project that aims to serve better to its 25 million customers. Once the project is complete, it will enable the bank to deliver a uniform, portal based IT infrastructure covering both its domestic and international operations and help offering anytime and anywhere banking facility for 24 hours, seven days a week environment. The project will empower the bank to compete with the changing environment in both domestic and international banking scenario, a bank release said on Saturday. HP (India) will design, build and manage the data centers that will host the computer, storage and connectivity infrastructure for the bank. However, the bank did not divulge the contract value and timeframe of completion of the project.
