NEW DELHI:Despite Pakistan being at confusion on whether or not to buy diesel from India, Bangladesh has decided to import diesel from a state owned oil company. Bangladesh had imported 200,000 tonnes of diesel and 40,000 tonnes of jet fuel from the Indian company under the one year contract that expired in December. With the fresh deal, Bangladesh will import about 400,000 tonnes of diesel in two years, said one source. While Indian Oil Company charges $3.9 dollars premium per barrel of diesel, the Kuwait Petroleum Corp, a major exporter of oil to Bangladesh charges much more.
