New Delhi: Baltic Sea Region (BSR), an investment network and a consortium of six countries has invited Indian companies, especially from the life sciences, engineering and automotive and information and telecom sectors, to set up businesses in the region. "The consortium will provide free consultation to the companies regarding setting up a new business," O. Rolf Larssen, managing director, Copenhagen Capacity, BSR, told reporters here Thursday. "It will also provide information and practical advice and arrange introductions to government officials of the nation concerned," he added. The consortium, comprising Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden represents one of the fastest growing regions in the European Union. "Countries under the BSR are in the top 12 for being most investor-friendly in the world. They offer competencies that complement those of the Indian partners," Raimonda Sadauskiene, deputy director general, Lithuanian Development Agency, BSR said. "Easy access to European and Russian markets, cost-effectiveness, highest rates of industrial production growth in Europe and high production efficiency based on ground-breaking IT technology, equates to value for money for our partners," he added.
