Bajaj Steel Industries shares up 11 percent

Bangalore: After an active trading throughout the day, Bajaj Steel Industries emerged as one of the top gainers with a gain of
20.50 (11.12 percent). The company opened the stock at lower note, but reached to the day's largest trading value in the latter part of the day. In all, 290,291 shares were traded throughout the day with a P/E ratio of 3.33. The 52 week stock price chart is on the left.

Bajaj Steel Industries is an India-based company. The company operates in two business segments: steel division and plastics division. The products manufactured by the company include ginning machine, cotton ball opener, cotton baling press, cotton pre-cleaner, lint cleaner, auto feeder, decorticator, hull beater, cotton seed cleaner and linter cleaner. In addition, the company also offers humidification systems, various components, parts and turnkey projects for cotton ginning and pressing plants, and parts manufacturing for automobile and ordinance factories.
Other steel companies ended the trading on mixed note with Stelco Strips, Surana Industries and Vardhman Industries slipping 1.11, 0.75 and 1.62 percent respectively, while Modern Steels, Panchmahal Steel and Rathi Bars gained 9.89, 1.73 and 2.14 percent, respectively.
