BPL Telecom bags Rs 2 crore defence order

KOLKATA: BPL Telecom said it has got a whopping Rs 2 crore order for 100 exchanges from Eastern Command Headquarters. The exchanges would be used in remote army locations under extreme environmental conditions, BPL Telecom said in a release. The release said the exchanges had passed the critical test as they were already being utilised in various segments under similar environmental conditions with the Border Security Force all across the country, ranging from areas in Rajasthan, J&K, Tripura and other parts of North Eastern India. Indo-Tibetan Border Police were also using BPL Telecom exchanges all over its operation area, the release said.
