BHEL bags Rs 121 Cr contract from BPCL

New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals, the government owned power equipment supplier, has bagged a Rs 121 crore ($30.25 million) contract from Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) for supplying compressor packages for the latter's Kochi refinery. According to BHEL, BPCL has placed an order worth Rs 121 crore ($30.25 million) for procuring three compressor packages, including a high flow and high-pressure BCL 800 compressor. As per the contract the company would provide two recycle gas compressors and one net gas compressor along with associated auxiliaries, it added. BHEL's manufacturing plants in Hyderabad and Bhopal will supply the equipment within 18 months. The company is also executing an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for BPCL valued at nearly Rs 298 crore ($74.5 million) for setting up an energy efficient co-generation power plant at Kochi refinery.
