NEW DELHI: Indian engineering major Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged an order for the supply and installation of a steam turbine generator (STG) at a captive power plant in Kerala. "Hindustan Newsprint Ltd (HNL) has placed the order for a 7MW STG set for its upcoming captive power plant at its Kottayam factory in Kerala," BHEL said in a statement Tuesday. The captive power plant will meet the power requirement of the newsprint unit. The order, estimated to be over 100 million, envisages manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the 7MW STG set with associated auxiliaries. The equipment will be manufactured at the BHEL's Hyderabad plant. BHEL earlier supplied a chemical recovery boiler of 140 tonnes per day capacity for the same unit at Kottayam.
